We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the PGQM. The Primary Geography Quality Mark is a prestigious awards that recognises and promotes quality and progress in geography leadership, curriculum development and learning and teaching in schools.
 

Committed to Inclusion

We are excited to announce that we have achieved the Warrington Committed to Inclusion award again this year. The Warrington Committed to Inclusion Mark was launched with the aim to continually improve the quality of provision for pupils with SEND across Warrington schools and to capture and celebrate this work so that everyone can learn from it. Signing up to the Inclusion Mark, included but not limited to committing to a SEND peer to peer review, submitting evidence towards improved SEND provision in their school, etc. The Warrington Committed to Inclusion Mark is used as a key driver in improving SEND provision and practice for pupils in our area and sets out a school’s intention around inclusive practice.
 

School Games

We are thrilled to announce that we have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark award for the 2023/2024 – 2024/2025 academic years, the highest mark that can be achieved.
 
Our sporting achievements this year are far and wide, ranging from Reception to Year 6, with more children than ever being given the opportunity to represent the school in competitions and events.
 
We are extremely proud of our children and staff for their dedication and commitment to school sport, and we pleased that the hard work of everyone at Callands has been rewarded. We believe that all children should lead a happy, healthy and active lifestyle.
 

Primary Science Quality Mark

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded the PSQM Gilt Award. The Primary School Quality Mark programme ensures effective leadership of science, enables schools to work together to share good practice and is supported by professional development led by local experts. It encourages teacher autonomy and innovation while at the same time offering a clear framework for development in science subject leadership, teaching and learning. Schools that achieve PSQM demonstrate commitment and expertise in science leadership, teaching and learning.
