RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre

Callands have worked with Jon Cotterill at the RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre for many years, remembering fallen soldiers in World War Two. Every year, the children use the Art skills they have learnt that term to create a class wreath, one for each soldiers’ grave. These are sometimes taken to the Heritage Centre by the pupils or collected by Jon himself. This also links to the Y2 and Y6 history curriculum where Y6 explore the impact of World War Two on settlements in Warrington.
