Level 2 Teaching Assistant Salary – Grade 4 SCP 6 - £25,989 (Full Time Equivalent)

Post 1 Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm

Post 2 Hours: Monday - Friday 8.40am – 12:40pm


The Governors are looking to appoint TWO highly motivated and effective Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking staff. This is a Temporary contract until 31/08/2026 which will also require working 1:1 with SEND children at times. This role is part time, with the possibility for more hours. We have availability for TWO Teaching Assistants Level 2 – Fixed term from Monday 3 November (negotiable) until 31 August 2026 (with the possibility of extending).


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant, recent experience within the key stage one age range including Phonics experience. 
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to establishing high expectations and ensuring continuous progress and school improvement.
  • Can contribute and feedback to teaching staff regarding progress and outcomes of children’s learning.
  • Has a positive approach to managing behaviour.
  • Can develop positive relationships with children and staff to assist the progress and attainment of children.
  • Can engage in aspects of wider school life.
  • Will undergo any training required in order to perform relevant duties efficiently.

The posts also include pastoral care duties including lunchtime pupil support. In return we can offer:

Hours / working pattern:

Post 1 - 9.00am – 1.00pm Monday – Friday, TOTAL 20 hours per week + INSET Days

Post 2 - 8.40am – 12.40pm Monday – Friday, TOTAL 20 hours per week +INSET Days

Key dates Closing date: Monday 13th October at 10am
